Around the Quarter
Lately, there’s a lot happening at Scottsdale Quarter — new openings, upcoming Scottsdale Fashion Week events and more reasons to spend time at this popular North Scottsdale destination. Just across Scottsdale Road from Kierland Commons, the Quarter has become a prominent shopping and dining hub in its own right, recently ranking No. 8 on USA Today’s list of top shopping destinations in the country.
Shop, Stroll, Stay Awhile: With more than 100 retail and restaurant brands alongside 600 luxury apartments, Scottsdale Quarter blends shopping with an open-air, neighborhood-like atmosphere. Palm-lined walkways, modern architecture and The Quad give the area a relaxed feel, while local boutiques add a touch of Arizona character among the bigger names. It’s the kind of place where you can shop, grab dinner, linger over coffee or simply take a stroll.
On the Calendar: There’s plenty on the calendar this fall, too. Live music returns to The Quad every Saturday from Sept. 26 through Nov. 7, with local bands spanning rock, jazz, country and more. Scottsdale Fashion Week will also bring events to the Quarter in October, including its Oct. 4 kickoff and Oct. 11 Sunday Soirée. And the property recently welcomed Hill House Home, marking the brand’s first Arizona and Southwest location.

- The 11th Annual Scottsdale Italian Festival returns to Scottsdale Civic Center on November 7–8, 2026. Presented by the Italian Association of Arizona, this year’s theme, “La Strada del Vino” (The Street of Wine), will highlight Italian cuisine, culture and entertainment, along with more than 30 wines from regions across Italy. The festival runs 11 a.m.–7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Sunday, with tickets now on sale.
- The McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park's Halloween Spooktrackula returns October 1–31, from 6–9:30 p.m. The event includes spooky train and carousel rides, a kid-friendly Storybook Train, and a new haunted train walkthrough. Tickets are on sale now for $15 per person, with free admission for children 2 and younger.
- Scottsdale filmmaker Larry L. Sheffield’s new documentary, The Cosmic Trigger, explores unexplained aerial phenomena following the 1945 Trinity atomic test. It screens Sept. 11–17 at Harkins Shea 14.
- The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is kicking off its Early Bird Christmas offer, with 30% off Christmas at the Princess admission, overnight stays, the S’mores Chalet, Santa Experience and self-parking, plus $150 off fire table rentals. The holiday event runs Nov. 20, 2026–Jan. 2, 2027, and the offer ends Sept. 30.
- Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West will host an Indigenous Peoples’ Day celebration featuring Yellow Bird Productions on Oct. 12 from 3 to 6 p.m. The program will include Native American storytelling, Apache flute music, traditional dances and a hoop dance performance, followed by a reception. Admission is $15 for the general public and $10 for museum members, while Indigenous Elders receive free admission. Registration is required.
- Beyond Yoga is opening its first Arizona location in Scottsdale on Sept. 10. The Los Angeles-based activewear brand will open at Kierland Commons, offering women’s, men’s and maternity collections, along with loungewear, travel styles and sizes from XXS to 4X.
- Nobu Scottsdale is joining Arizona Restaurant Week, Sept. 18–27, with a three-course menu featuring favorites like Black Cod with Miso and Yellowtail Jalapeño. The menu is $55 per person and includes a starter, entrée and dessert.
- Hill House Home is now open at Scottsdale Quarter, marking the brand’s first Arizona and Southwest location. The approximately 2,250-square-foot boutique features the brand’s signature Nap Dresses, apparel, accessories, home décor, bedding and children’s collections.
