Last month, we shared the news of its opening, a peek at its interior, and a taste of what’s on the menu. But we hadn’t really explored the full Quiriego dining experience—until now! Having recently tried it ourselves, here’s why it deserves a spot on your next Scottsdale dining list.
Fired up: At Quiriego, it’s all about the fire and flavor! From charred cabbage with habanero-almond sauce to a $28 Aguachile Güerito and freshly made tacos, every dish brings something special to the table. Feeling fancy? Try the $120 Snake River Farms ribeye parrillada or the $380 tomahawk made for sharing. Don’t skip dessert, either—the bakery treats are just as tempting. With mellow Mayan-inspired music, a relaxed vibe, and a horchata espresso martini to sip on, this new Scottsdale spot is worth checking out before everyone else catches on!
From Sonora to Scottsdale: Quiriego brings a taste of Sonora, Mexico, to North Scottsdale in the former Carrabba’s Italian Grill building, an 8,500-square-foot space that sat empty since 2023. Founded in Hermosillo in 2019, this family-run restaurant celebrates its roots through mesquite-grilled meats, roasted chiles, and handmade flour tortillas, complemented by a curated wine program and an in-house bakery. Its name pays tribute to the small Sonoran town where the family’s story began.
Location: 17007 N Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85255
Hours: Mon–Thu, Sun 4:00 pm–9:00 pm | Fri, Sat 4:00 pm–10:00 pm
